Exposure to music of diverse cultures helps one understand and respect all peoples, past and present. Music education moves students from the fundamental levels of knowledge to the highest thinking skills. Students understand and experience music by identifying, listening, reading, scribing, performing, analyzing, creating and assessing. A wide variety of aesthetic and cognitive experiences are provided in music. Curricular courses allow for concentrated and intensive study of specific topics and interests in music.
